Airport Style | What To Wear At the Airport

I’m so excited because I get to spend the week in one of my favorite cities, San Francisco. Besides the charm of the city, I am a major foodie and I plan to walk from one yummy spot to the next so I can burn off all my indulgences. Flying in from Los Angeles would seem quick and easy, but your plans may change unexpectedly. Our flight was delayed and then canceled…we luckily got on a new flight which met the same fate, it was delayed. Basically, my boyfriend and I spent 5 hours at the airport praying that our favorite empanada spot in the Embarcadero doesn’t close before we arrive. I’m not joking, that was our number one concern. Needless to say, comfort is key and no matter how short the distance, the same rules apply: breathable pants with stretch, layers on tops, and nothing but sneakers on your feet. However, it’s important to look presentable because you never know who you may run into. Plus, when you can easily piece together a look that is casual yet still stylish, why not?

I recently found my new favorite pants, that perfectly fit the criteria of what my best friend and I like to call, “pajamas in public.” They are khaki joggers from Cotton On and I loved them so much I bought them in 3 colors: blush pink, pale blue and white (cottonon.com, $34.95; 30% off your first order!). When I first put them on, I wasn’t sure if they were comfortable enough, but they loosened a bit and felt great. I knew they were perfect for traveling, so I paired the pink ones with a camouflage utility jacket, a super-soft grey tee from Harlowe & Graham, and my Stan Smith Adidas. I also needed a bag to put all my necessary comfort items into, including a large scarf in case I get cold and my computer. I chose to take a black Rebecca Minkoff tote bag that I have used and abused repeatedly. It’s so sturdy, ideal for traveling. Overall,I really loved how the look came together, so easy and effortlessly chic.

Check out the look below as well as a slider that includes another cool jacket option and an awesome Rebeca Minkoff bag that’s on sale now. Hope you like the look as much as I do and remember that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for fashion. Happy traveling! xo Sarah
