Happy New Year!
Ever since High School, I’ve been enamored with the fitness world. I’ve tried just about every workout: group classes, Tae Bo, P90X, Bar Method, Tracey Anderson, and much much more. I know what you may be thinking, but I promise I’m not that annoying girl that repeatedly says: “I love working out, it’s the best!” However, to Me, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important and working out makes me feel good, plus, I don’t mind the results. Who doesn’t want to look and feel their best, or at the very least work towards it? Not to mention, working out hard allows me to get away with some serious cheat meals! Thank God I’ve been blessed with some serious dedication and discipline otherwise I wouldn’t get away with it. It’s definitely not easy, but I promise, if you believe you can do it, you can. Mind over matter wins every time! That’s why I’m so happy to be kicking off the new year sharing my favorite Youtube workouts. These videos are great for days when you’re traveling, short on time, or can’t make it to the gym. And the best part is, you can access them wherever you are, from any device.
I stumbled upon these videos about four months ago when I injured my shoulder. Ever since, I haven’t been able to participate in my usual routine which is a variety of Equinox group exercise classes. Instead, I had to get creative and find workouts that didn’t require any modifications because I hate feeling like I’m limited physically! With YouTube literally at our fingertips, there are absolutely no excuses. Even if you only have 10 minutes, you can easily squeeze in an effective workout. Some of my favorite Youtube pages are FitnessBlender, Blogilates, and POPSUGAR Fitness. With the addition of cardio and hiking, the results from these videos have been amazing. I’ve noticed my body responds better to calisthenics exercises anyway so I ditched the cardio-interval and weighted workouts, which used to consist of up to 75% of my weekly routine. As a substitute, I’ve been doing a lot of pilates as well as all things buns, abs, and thighs.
Whether you need a kick start or want to try something new, the videos below will help you achieve a more healthy and happy life. So let’s get to it, shall we?
