Current Favorite Drugstore Makeup Under $11

April 19, 2016

Drugstore makeup is so desirable now more so than ever because the quality has improved drastically, so much so that there are many dupes for high-end products for a fraction of the price. The days of spending tons of money on makeup are long gone. I literally cannot walk into a pharmacy or (especially) Target, without making a B-line for the beauty aisles. And I find that I always end up walking out with more things than¬†I originally intended purchasing. Luckily, I know I’m in good company. ūüėČ

Another major reason I love to try out drugstore makeup is to find more affordable options for you guys. It makes me so happy to know that I can hopefully cut out the guess work for you. So check out my current favorites below that are all priced under $11 (total of $75 for 10 items!). And please share with me some of your go to drugstore products. xo Sarah

1  e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush

I am a huge fan of e.l.f. cosmetics and they continue to impress me with the quality of their products. This brush is a drugstore dream! Because of its dome shape and densely packed bristles, foundation blends evenly and flawlessly onto the skin. HOW TO USE: Apply foundation in a circular motion, buffing it into the skin; use a dabbing motion for areas that need more coverage., $6

2 ¬†e.l.f. Bronzer Palette in ‘Bronzed Beauty’

Since buying this palette, I haven’t touched my other high-end contour palettes or bronzers. It comes with 2 matte shades and two shimmer shades. With both cool and warm tones, you can contour as well as warm up your¬†complexion. And the packaging is really nice as well. I still can’t believe this highly pigmented, easily blendable palette is only $6!, $6

3 ¬†Sonia Kashuk Chic Illuminosity Highlighter Stick in ‘Sparkling Sand’

I love this highlighter stick! It gives the skin the perfect amount of shimmer and luminosity without going overboard. You can also use it as a base for your powder highlighter. If you prefer a more subtle “glow from within” appearance, apply under your foundation. TIP: Don’t apply directly from the stick. Warm up the product on your finger¬†and gently blend on the areas of the face you would like to enhance and add a beautiful glow., $10.99

4 ¬†Maybelline Dream Bronze BB Cream in ‘Light/Medium’

This BB cream is perfect for Spring and Summer. If you want an instant yet temporary tan, you have to try this. And for those of you who prefer not to tan your face (sun or fake tanning), you can easily match your face to the rest of your body with this BB cream. Keep in mind, if you have blemishes or skin imperfections, you will still need to conceal them since the coverage is light. But surprisingly¬†it evens out skin tone after a few minutes of application. I just wish they made a light shade because I’m not sure how this will look on lighter complexions. TIP: Only apply a thin layer. You can also apply it how you would your bronzer on top of your foundation for a more subtle warmth., $7.49

5 ¬†Maybelline Precise Skinny Gel Pencil in ‘Defining Black’

Hands down my favorite eyeliner for tight-lining (applying on the upper and lower water line) as well as on the lash line to give the illusion of fuller lashes. You can achieve more precise application because of how skinny the pencil is. And it’s by far the blackest pencil liner I have ever tried!, $6.99 (Also comes in Sharp Brown and Refined Charcoal)

6 ¬†Maybelline Great Lash Curved Brush Washable Mascara in ‘Blackest Black’

This mascara is great for if you want to easily coat and separate your lashes. If you’re in a rush, this is the mascara you want to reach for because you can get away with just one coat and be out the door. But if you’re interested in more volume, this may not be the ideal mascara. However, you can achieve more drama by applying several coats., $5,49

7 ¬†Wet n’ Wild Color Icon Ombre Blusher in ‘The Princess Daquiries’

I love this blush for a subtle wash of color, like when you have a more dramatic eye look. And you can customize your shade since it goes from light to medium pink. So many drugstore¬†blushes appear blotchy on the skin and don’t blend well. But this blush glides on smoothly¬†and is easily buildable. This shade is ideal for light to medium skin tone. If you have medium/dark to darker skin tone, try one of the other shades., $4.99 (Also available in  a peach color, Mai Tai Buy You A Drink, and lavender color, In A Purple Haze).

8 ¬†Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in ‘Pinky Nude’

I’ve been trying to get my hands on this shade for several months now. And i now know why it’s always out of’s the perfect matte pink nude lipstick. Besides the color, I really like the formula. It’s durable and doesn’t dry out your lips…a definite must have!, $7.99 (Available in 8 other colors).

9 ¬†Essence Longlasting Lipstick in ‘Nude Love’

I recently discovered this brand at Target and I had to test out their lipstick. It lasted several hours without fading and it felt nice on the lips. I’m definitely going to try out some more colors. This pale pink shade is really nice for creating an ombre pink lip., $2.99

10 ¬†CoverGirl Colorlicious Lip Perfection Lipliner in ‘Seduce’

I don’t typically use drugstore lip liners aside from Milani and Rimmel. But I read good reviews on this one so I wanted to test it out. I actually really like the formula…it’s creamy, soft, and pigmented. ¬†And this color works really well as a base for nude shades., $5.99
