One Bag, Two Ways

I just got back from the most amazing 2-week long road trip through the North West. We drove up and flew back home so I really had to edit my wardrobe for the flight back. I despise packing. And why is it that before a trip, your schedule seems to be the most hectic? The last thing I want to do is pair outfits together because I’m the most moody dresser. The hardest thing for me to choose are which shoes and handbags I want to take. When it came to choosing a bag, I told myself I could only take one. I thought of taking a mini backpack, but I wanted something more versatile. Dreading this decision, I luckily remembered that I had the most perfect bag from Elizabeth Laine. It’s called the Poppy 2way Bag ($168) and can be worn as a shoulder or belt bag. The strap is adjustable so you can easily convert it back and forth. I especially love this feature because sometimes my shoulders feel strained from carrying a bag for too long, no matter how light it is, so it’s nice to have the option of wearing it as a belt bag. I was also able to fit all my necessities in it including my iPhone 6s plus. And let me tell you, I abused this bag. The leather survived several heavy rain storms and the gold hardware is still as shiny as new, with no scratches.

As a Los Angeles native, I love supporting L.A.-based brands. All of Elizabeth’s bags are handmade and created to fit different aspects of a woman’s liking. Each handbag is designed with a women’s convenience in mind with multifunctional use. I love that the leather bags are embossed with her initials ‘EL’, a very subtle and chic touch. Elizabeth also provides a unique service where you can create a custom ‘bespoke’ bag to meet your fashion and function needs. How fun would it be, to create your very own bag, with every feature you want and need? Whether you’re feeling creative or not, I’m sure you’ll find a design that suits your style and needs. Make sure to check out her website (www.elizabethlaine.com) and Instagram (@elizabethlainela) to see all her other designs. xo Sarah
